Beyoncé’s Dinner Ruined By Ghost Of Her Coat
R&B celeb/Pink Panther star Beyoncé Knowles is just so fabulous, her delicate skin requires only the finest dead animals to adorn it. While it may help her bump and grind gloriously in her Mtv videos, it also led to an uncomfortable date with Destiny at ritzy Nobu in New York City recently. The dinner was auctioned off on eBay, benefiting VH1's Save the Music Foundation, and the winners were two members of PETA, which stands for People Who Like To Get In Nasty Public Spats On Animals’ Behalf.
Just for our amusement, the dinner chat was recorded via secret camera. Beyoncé is all smiles when discussing the clothing line she and her mother started, which uses fur, but her smile quickly fades at the buzz-killing mention of “chinchilla ranch,” and by the time they get to “electrocute,” Beyoncé is stirring her drink so obsessively she’s at risk of earning a certified mixologist degree from New York City’s Bartending School.
Beyoncé, for her part, delivers a succinct and graceful retort to the criticism, adopting a proud but conciliatory tone. Just kidding! She doesn’t say a goddamn thing, just stares at the table and lets her mom defend her like a sulky school kid hauled into the principal’s office (or, like any celebrity surrounded by their handlers.)
After several attempts at reasonable discourse, the PETA members reveal the true, horrible nature of their mission: to show Beyoncé a video featuring Pamela Anderson. They pull out a portable DVD player, but things quickly descend into chaos when they discover the fur PSA is missing and instead try to show Beyoncé an episode of Anderson’s sitcom Stacked, at which point they’re tackled to the ground and pummeled by members of PETH (People for the Ethical Treatment of Humans.)
